Ring of Honor Wrestling’s HonorClub app brings the independent wrestling promotion’s content to fans worldwide. ROH’s vast historical library is available on all major app platforms including iOS, Android, AppleTV, and Roku. The goal with this design was to bring a modern video streaming experience to fans, but done in a way that was cost effective for the company.
The apps were built on Brightcove Inc’s Beacon platform. This allowed ROH to design a custom app on a pre-built platform that took advantage of the Brightcove Video Cloud for content delivery. The app’s design needed to be well organized and optimized to give fans the very best viewing experience. Integration with Auth0’s single sign on service allowed ROH to offer fans a seamless experience between all of their other digital properties, including the main ROH website, e-commerce platform, and engagement platform.
